1. Member registration

To become a member of AAIS you need pay the membership fee first and then secondly you proceed and fill the registration form and upload your proof of payment of applicable membership registration fee (which covers registration and 2 years annual dues).

Membership number and Certificate: After successful payment and submission of your registration form, membership number and certificate will be sent to the email address you use for registration.

Membership Registration fees

  • Student – 25 USD
  • Professional – 50 USD
  • Emeritus – 20 USD
  • Guest – 100 USD

Type of Membership

  • Student: A person actively enrolled in a learning institution.
  • Professional: Any person engaged in entomological work or allied fields and person having suitable training in insect science.
  • Emeritus: Any AAIS member who is in good standing and has retired from active professional service with 20 years of membership.
  • Guest: Anyone without training in insect science but has interest in insect science.

 You are requested to renew your membership every 2 years.

2. Guidelines for Abstract submission

  1. Single line space, Times New Roman, 12 font size on A4 format with 2.5cm margins on all sides.
  2. The first line should be left blank, and the second line should carry the title of the paper in bold lower-case letter
  3. The next line should be left blank
  4. Followed by authors and affiliations of the authors. The authors lists (not in bold) should contain First name, Initial for middle name and then Surname.
  5. Superscripts Arabic numerals should be put before affiliations (not in bold) to link each author with his/her affiliation.
  6. The email address (not in bold) of the corresponding author should be added.
  7. The affiliations and correspondence should be 10 font size.
  8. The line following the corresponding author information should be left blank. 
  9. The next line should carry Abstract in bold lower-case letter
  10. Abstract text should include Introduction, Methodology, Results and Conclusion.
  11. Text should not exceed 250 words.
  12. It should include 5 keywords
  13. Abstract should be submitted in Microsoft Word document.

3. Guidelines for Manuscript Submission

  1. The manuscript should be organized as follows: Accepted Abstract, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussions, Conclusions, Acknowledgements (if any), References
  2. It should be submitted in Microsoft Word document.
  3. It should be single line space, Times New Roman, 12 font size with sections written in bold on A4 format with 2.5cm margins on all sides.
  4. It should be numbered serially using the Arabic numerals.
  5. In text citation and Reference list should follow APA Style 7th edition referencing format.

4. Conference registration

Conference registration fee will cater for items including: publishing charges for the book of abstracts and proceedings, conference bags,  participants lunch during the conference, excursions and certificates.
